MAP Wins Arbitration Award on
Behalf of Two Trenton Police Officers

MAP went to work for two Trenton police officers and won their jobs back after an independent arbitrator ruled that the discipline imposed was excessive. The officers clearly believed that their actions were nothing more than practical jokes in a Department where there has been a long history of "cop shop humor". The battle took a full 15 months and five hearings before Arbitrator Joseph P. Girolamo ruled that the discipline meted out was indeed excessive and ordered the officers reinstatement.

Rich Lyons, President of the Trenton Police Sergeants/Corporals/Patrol Officers' Association is very pleased with the outcome after the outstanding work, and all the time and effort put into this case by MAP's Fred Timpner, Joel Felt as well as the entire staff. "Fred came through on his promise to take this case tot he end and would do his best to get these officers' jobs back. He not only made himself available to the officers, he also kept in touch with their families through the entire ordeal."
